Take-Two Interactive Software, Inc. 2K Sports WWE 2K16 is Set to Get a Killer Soundtrack!

Rock and Wrestling reunite in WWE 2K 16’s awesome soundtrack!

Take Two Interactive (NASDAQ:TTWO) is ready to unleash WWE 2K16 this fall but not without an amazing soundtrack. According to Cinema Blend, the playlist combines some old classics with hot new tunes to appeal to a diverse group of fans. The soundtrack was first showcased on Beats 1 via Apple Music and is available on the iTunes App Store.

Two songs from the playlist reported by Business Wire really caught our attention. The first is Rebel Yell by 1980s punk rocker Billy Idol and Youth Gone Wild by heavy metal band Skid Row. In the late '80s and early '90s, both these songs were very popular and are still fun to listen to today. Old school rappers Run DMC are also featured with It’s Tricky which is another classic from yesteryear. Shock rocker Marilyn Manson is included with her song Deep Six.

Neil Lawi, Senior VP of the WWE Music Group, was quoted as saying, “Building on the success of the in-game soundtrack curated by WWE Superstar John Cena last year, we were enthusiastic about partnering with 2K to raise the bar higher for WWE 2K16 with a memorable list of world-renowned artists, […] The WWE 2K16 soundtrack offers a diverse and exciting group of artists and songs including iconic tracks ‘Rebel Yell’ and ‘Youth Gone Wild,’ two of today’s most sought-after electronic dance masterminds Diplo and Zedd, and current ‘it’ artists Twenty One Pilots and Yelawolf.”

It’s definitely an interesting selection and since custom soundtracks return, one can finally give created superstars original theme music which was missing from last year’s game. While the soundtrack looks great, we at Bidness Etc hope that the game is as great too. 120 wrestlers, return of missing modes, custom soundtracks and finally an in-game soundtrack to appeal to all ages of fans.
