Assassin's Creed: Syndicate Video Teases Darwin and Dickens Conspiracy DLC

Ubisoft has released a teaser for Assassin's Creed: Syndicate's Darwin and Dickens Conspiracy DLC which, by pre-ordering the game, lets players conduct missions for "two of the greatest minds of the industrial revolution."

Dickens, described as "the greatest novelist of the era," and Darwin, the mind behind the theory of evolution, are both wrapped up in trouble and the player must lend a helping hand.

As previously detailed, these missions require the player to "defend Charles Darwin’s discoveries from those who would kill to silence him, and help a friend of legendary writer Charles Dickens keep a secret that could get him killed."

Ubisoft has confirmed the Assassin's Creed Syndicate release date as October 23 for PlayStation 4 and Xbox One. The PCversion is currently only listed for "Holiday 2015."

Assassin's Creed Syndicate is set in London at the height of the industrial revolution and stars a brother and sister duo as its central protagonists.

The game overhauls the combat and stealth in order to be less oriented around hiding behind cover. Instead it will give players the ability to more physical-based evasion and sneaking moves such as crawling.

Another of the game's big new additions is the ability to jack vehicles. Players will be able to drive carriages and use them as moving platforms. Read our full story to find out more aboutAssassin's Creed Syndicate's GTA-style vehicle mechanics.

Assassin’s Creed: Syndicate launches on PS4 and Xbox One on October 23, with PC release still to be firmly dated.
