Gears of War Creator's New Game Now Called "The Shattering"

The next game from Gears of War creator Cliff Bleszinski has been given an official title.

Bleszinski and his company, Bosskey Studios, on Sunday announced that the free-to-play PC FPS, Project Bluestreak, is now called The Shattering.

A teaser website for the game, to be published by free-to-play giant Nexon, went up today. It teases that more details about the shooter will be announced at 12 Noon EDT / 9 AM PDT on August 24, 25, and 26.

"Trust me, folks--buckle up," Bleszinski  said on Twitter. "I am so excited right now. :) :) :)"

The Shattering's website also features a "Alpha Testers" tab, suggesting Bosskey will let people play the game early for the purposes of testing.
As previously announced, The Shattering is set in a post-apocalyptic sci-fi world. Bosskey released the first pre-alpha footage for the game, which runs on Unreal Engine 4, during PAX East back in April.
