Electronic Sports League (ESL) invites teams from all of Southeast Asia (SEA) to participate in the SEA qualifiers. The best team in the region will have a chance to compete with the world’s top Dota 2 teams for over $250,000 (P11.5 million~) prize pool at Madison Square Garden on October 3-4.
Matches will be in a best of one series and the top four teams will proceed to the main qualifier, schedule to be announced, where a sole victor will fly to New York for the main event.
Interested teams can register until August 22 at 2:00pm Singapore Time (SGT/GMT+8). The tournament itself starts at 3:00pm SGT and will end on August 23.
Last year’s ESL One New York only had an American, European and Chinese qualifiers. This is the first time that ESL One New York will hold an open qualifier for the SEA region.
Vici Gaming, one of the Chinese team powerhouses, won the championship and took home $56,000 (P2.5 million~)
