Burton-Keaton Batmobile Ready To Cruise On To Batman: Arkham Knight
Get behind the wheel of the greatest Batmobile ever designed
As reported earlier, Rocksteady Studios and Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment, a division of Time Warner Inc. (NYSE:TWX), are going back to 1989 and giving fans of Batman: Arkham Knight a treat.
The Batman’89 and Batmobile skins from “Batman” and “Batman Returns” will be available from this month. The iconic car and suit are a must-have for all fans of the Tim Burton movies starring Michael Keaton.
Recently, Rocksteady released a video displaying the sleek Batmobile in a race map that features set pieces from the two movies. Anton Furst even won an Oscar for his set design on the 1989 Batman film.
In the video, you will get to see environments that were featured in the scenes with the Joker and the Penguin. The car handles a lot differently than the Batmobile used in the game. The race maps show that the car is more agile and has a much better handling for extreme turns. We did not see it transform into battle mode, which suggests the Batmobile may just be used in the races, although it’s not confirmed yet.
Where the skin is concerned, we think it will be usable in the main game, although Rocksteady has not confirmed that. Regardless, the video was a real treat and a blast from the past. The beauty about the Burton movies is that they are timeless and have aged well over the years. None of the Batman movies released in the last decade holds a candle to the ones by Mr. Burton, in our opinion.
Are you ready to party like it’s the 80s with the greatest Batmobile in Batman: Arkham Knight?
