Star Wars Battlefront Gets Sony PlayStation 4 Bundle

Adam Boyes, VP at Sony Corp.’s (ADR) (NYSE:SNE) Sony Computer Entertainment America (SCEA) division, announced at the D23 expo that Electronic Arts Inc. (NASDAQ:EA) Stars Wars Battlefront will soon get a special edition PlayStation 4 bundle. The new bundle will feature Darth Vader on the console and will be available in the next few months for everyone.

The Star Wars Bundle will release with Stars Wars Battlefront Deluxe Edition, along with a DualShock 4 controller that is customized to look like Darth Vader’s chest panel and has a Star Wars logo on the touchpad. Apart from the Deluxe Edition, the bundle will also include four other digital games, namely: Star Wars: Racer Revenge, Super Star Wars, Star Wars Bounty Hunter, and Star Wars Jedi Starfighter.

Since these games will be available for the first time on PS4; they will have enhanced visuals and trophy support.

The hardware specs of the console feature a limited edition 500GB custom PS4 of CUH-1200 series, along with one DualShock 4 custom controller, and will release this fall on November 17, 2015. Apart from the bundle, Sony has also announced a Disney Infinity 3.0 bundle.

The second edition is said to be made for Wal-Mart and will feature the same hardware specs as the previous bundle, however, instead of Star Wars Battlefront, it will feature Disney Infinity 3.0. The bundle includes a hard copy of Disney Infinity 3.0, Rise Against the Empire Play Set Pack, which includes figures of Leia Organa and Luke Skywalker along with Rise Against the Empire Play Set, a Disney Infinity Base and an exclusive Boba Fett figure, all exclusive to PS4.

Apart from the two exclusive bundles by Sony, a standard bundle will also be released for Star Wars Battlefront, which will be available with a regular PS4, black DS4 controller, one standard copy of Battlefront and the four aforementioned Star Wars games.

Sony has not yet announced the pricing of any of these consoles yet, but are expected to be released probably by next month, as only three months remain before the bundles go live.
