THE WORLD'S BEST COUNTER-STRIKE TEAMS ARE COMPETING FOR $250,000

The premiere eSports tournament ESL ONE is underway in Cologne, Germany, as sixteen of the world's best Counter-Strike teams duke it out for a prize pool of $250,000.

Legendary teams Ninjas in Pyjamas, Virtus.Pro, NaVi and MouseSports will face American underdogs Cloud9, Counter Logic Gaming and others over four days of fierce eSports competition. Two live streams will host the action, ESL_CSGO andESL_CSGOB, and a schedule for every match of the tournament is available over onESL's tournament website.

This tournament marks a high point for American competitive CS:GO as Cloud9 comes into the competition at the highest worldwide ranking they've ever attained. After a roster shakeup and a difficult few months of adjustment, the rag tag crew of Americans have generated a remarkable string of wins against major European teams in big tournaments, reminiscent of former American greats Team 3D and compLexity back in 2003-2005.

Will the dominance of European Counter-Strike teams end in this tournament? Only time will tell.
