New Ninja Gaiden Ryu Statues Show the Fighter Covered in Blood

Toy maker Multiverse Studio has announced two new variants for its Ninja Gaiden 3: Ryu Hayabusa statue.

The first is called the "Bludgeoning Staff Variant." This one is meant to highlight Ryu's lethality, as one of its selling points is "extra blood and gore." You'll notice that Ryu himself is covered in blood, while he wields the legendary Lunar Staff (also covered in blood). This statue also comes with Ryu's Dragon Sword.

The other model is the "Retro Blue Variant." It takes its inspiration from Ryu's appearance in the 1988 NES Ninja Gaiden game. Ryu also sports two katanas "for extra slice and dice," Multiverse said.

Both figures are extremely rare, limited to just 100 pieces, and carry a price tag of $300.

They also feature built-in LEDs for "theatrical ambiance and effect." What's more, the bases they stand on are littered with the severed limbs of Ryu's enemies. For a closer look, click through the images in the gallery below.

The figures will be available to buy at PAX Prime in Seattle later this month at the ThinkGeek booth. Any unsold statues will be put on sale through the retailer's website after the show.
